Booking Policy
To book any of our services, you must complete the required information, accept the legal terms and conditions of Isla Surf School Tenerife, and pay the full amount for the selected services using the payment link or booking form that will be provided to you.
If one participant makes a booking on behalf of several participants or a group, they are responsible for informing all participants of the terms and conditions set out in this Booking Policy.
General Conditions
- The personal details of each participant must be provided. Registration is mandatory.
- The minimum age to participate is 16 years old. Exceptions may be considered upon prior request by contacting info@islasurfschooltenerife.com.
- Isla Surf School Tenerife reserves the right to make changes to the booked services whenever necessary due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond the Company’s control, provided that the essential services offered are not substantially affected.
- Participants authorise Isla Surf School Tenerife to use photographs and videos taken during lessons for promotional and advertising purposes, including publication on the Company’s website, social media channels, brochures and other marketing materials.
- Participants must be in good physical and mental health, be able to swim at least 50 metres unaided, and must not suffer from any medical or physical condition that could prevent or hinder their participation in surf, bodyboard or surfskate lessons. Any relevant medical history, physical or mental health condition, allergy or circumstance that could endanger the participant or other members of the group must be communicated before confirming the booking.
- Isla Surf School Tenerife holds a valid Public Liability Insurance policy. The participant, or the person signing on their behalf, expressly waives any claim exceeding the coverage limits established under the insurance policy.
- Each participant must carry a valid health insurance card or have travel, medical or accident insurance covering surfing activities during their participation in Isla Surf School Tenerife services.
- The participant acknowledges that surfing is an adventure sport involving inherent risks. Injuries may include cuts, sprains, fractures, bruises, paralysis, injury to themselves or to third parties, and, in exceptional circumstances, death. The participant understands and accepts that these risks are inherent to the activity.
- Participants are responsible for taking proper care of all equipment provided by Isla Surf School Tenerife. Any equipment that is lost or damaged through misuse or negligence must be replaced or paid for by the participant.
- Isla Surf School Tenerife shall not be held liable for any damages, losses or incidents resulting from the participant’s failure to comply with these terms and conditions or from negligent behaviour during the activities.
You may NOT participate in the activity if you:
- suffer from any cardiovascular disease;
- are pregnant;
- are under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any medication that may impair your physical or mental abilities.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests are only valid from the date they are received and must be submitted in writing by email to info@islasurfschooltenerife.com.
- An administration fee of €20 per person and booking will apply.
- 100% of the amount paid (excluding the administration fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made at least 14 days before the activity start date. Refunds will be processed within a maximum period of 15 days.
- 50% of the amount paid (excluding the administration fee) will be refunded if the cancellation is made between 13 calendar days and 48 hours before the activity start date. Refunds will be processed within a maximum period of 15 days.
- No refund will be issued if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the scheduled start of the activity.
Booking Changes
Any request to modify a booking must be submitted in writing by email to info@islasurfschooltenerife.com.
Booking changes are subject to availability and must be confirmed by Isla Surf School Tenerife.
No additional charges will apply for booking amendments.
Liability
Isla Surf School Tenerife shall not accept liability or provide refunds in the following circumstances:
- when the participant is responsible for the improper performance of the service;
- when the failure in the provision of the service is attributable to an unforeseen third party unrelated to Isla Surf School Tenerife;
- when the service cannot be provided due to force majeure or circumstances beyond the Company’s control, including but not limited to natural disasters or adverse weather conditions;
- when the failure results from an event that Isla Surf School Tenerife could neither foresee nor avoid despite exercising all reasonable care and diligence;
- when incidents occur outside lesson hours, outside the organised activities, or without the supervision of Isla Surf School Tenerife staff.
Each participant must follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by our instructors and staff.
Failure to comply with these instructions, or any irresponsible or unsafe behaviour, shall release Isla Surf School Tenerife from any liability. The Company reserves the right to take any appropriate measures, including the participant’s immediate removal from the lesson and the cancellation of future bookings, without any entitlement to a refund for unused services.
Each participant must carry a valid health insurance card or hold travel, medical or accident insurance that specifically covers surfing activities during participation in any services provided by Isla Surf School Tenerife.
By completing the booking process, the participant acknowledges and accepts all of the above terms and conditions.
